The goal isn't just to get you out of pain

It's to get you back to full strength with less chance of it happening again.

Proper diagnosis

Most people never get a clear explanation of what's actually wrong. We take time to explain exactly what's happened and what needs to heal.

Tailored rehab

No two injuries are the same. Your rehab is built around your sport, your schedule and your specific goals not a standard template.

Reduced further injury risk

Returning too early is one of the biggest causes of further injury. We make sure you're genuinely ready physically and mentally.

Common questions

How long is an appointment and how many will I need?
The first appointment is long enough to take a full history, examine properly and explain what we found before you leave, rather than a rushed slot. Most people notice meaningful change within entirely dependent on the tissue and grade, which you will know at the first appointment. You will get an honest estimate at the assessment rather than an open ended plan, and if you need fewer sessions than expected we will say so.
How soon after an injury should I be seen?
Sooner is better, ideally within the first week. Early assessment gets the grading right, which sets a realistic timeline, and stops the two common mistakes: resting far too long, or returning far too early. The clinic is in Rainham with evening slots, so it does not have to wait for a day off.
Which sports injuries do you treat most?
Running injury and overuse injury presentations are the most common, alongside hamstring strain treatment, calf strain treatment, groin strain treatment and general muscle strain treatment. Achilles tendinopathy physio and wider tendinopathy physio are a particular focus.
Do you handle post surgery rehab and return to sport?
Yes. Post surgery physio and structured return to sport rehabilitation follow the surgical protocol, with objective testing before you go back rather than a guess.
Do I need a referral or scan before booking?
No. You can book directly. In most cases a thorough clinical assessment tells us everything we need to know scans are often unnecessary.
Can you help if I've had the injury for months?
Yes. Long standing injuries often haven't been managed properly. A fresh assessment frequently changes the whole approach.
Will I need surgery?
Most sports injuries do not need surgery. We'll give you an honest answer after assessment and refer you if it's genuinely needed.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes. BetterMe accepts major private medical insurers including AXA, Bupa, Aviva and Vitality. Call to book with insurance: 07429097014.
